>>11394359If you don't enjoy what you are currently doing then switch degrees if you think it won't bring you a lifetime of happiness. Don't live your life for others. Most of your credits should easily transfer in some way or another; I managed to utilize AP history credits for all of my extracirricular physical activities (yes, really, lmao) so I wouldn't sweat it.
I'm currently doing Pharmacy (not in US) and it is bringing me a lot of joy. I don't have to be a pharmacist though and my options are very extensive once graduating: I can work in a pharmaceutical laboratory, go into forensic science, work for somewhere such as the CDC, work in a hospital setting, be a sales tech, literally so many options of things that I enjoy.
And I always have a backup; in the end if I don't enjoy it, I'll just become a police officer and work my way up to detective as criminology has always been an interest. And on the side I sew and could also probably get into fashion if I had the free time and drive.
You definitely need to go with your heart rather than listening to what pretentious strangers on the internet say about the best way to live your life. I know my studies (pharmacy), hobbies (sewing/dancing/volunteering/music critique), social life, and alternative pathways (crime fighting) are all interesting to me and there will always be those who jest, but at the end of the day it's my life and I'm content with it. If you aren't, and you don't think it's just regular stress from Uni, then make changes.
