how would the average boomer or gen-x know if their children are getting a real education? how would anyone know what imperatives are being subtly impressed upon their progeny? they wouldn't, because most of them are technologically impotent and haven't the faintest idea how any of this shit works. you have to have faith in your educators but what reason do your educators have to be honest? do they have any ties to the community? are they known and respected? no, because boomers and gen-x all have this same i'm-sure-someone-will-take-care-of-it attitude.
i'd like to think they are honest because it's the right thing to do, but that's often just not the case.
