i'm on page 68 and so far i am impressed with his takedown of string theory, but of course the penrose writing style makes it hard to get through. and the unevenness of the discussions is a bit distracting (he goes off on detailed discussions of fiber bundles for a few dense pages as if this is easy stuff and then he spends like 8 pages describing light cones as if this were tough for anybody)....
i mean, when i tried to read The Road To Reality i found it to be a total waste after getting most of the way through it. just pedantic and obscure. any opinions on whether to stay the course on this book?
