Whereby psychopathy seems to be more genetic, based on abnormal brainscans. They simply don't feel remorse or empthy. They don't necessarily need to be 'evil' many don't see the reason to rape and pillage like they are portrayed to be. They can also understand that such beheaviour might get then in trouble and refrain. But they do have the capacity to be unhindered by a conciousness.
Sociopathology is more learned behaviour, as in people learning to rob and kill to survive but also temperament can be a faktor. They do feel remorse and empathy but regularly overcome this for precived profits or act impulsively.
ASPD is diagnosed with a checklist. Individuals from both catagories are more likely to be diagnosed as ASPD.
