Are there any animals who can feel anything close to the kind of love that humans feel, either romantic or platonic in nature? They’d probably be mammals, or possibly birds, if they did, right?

What about animals that mate for life, is it true that some of them will die if their mate does? What species are more likely to mate for life, anyway?
