When they try the double slit experiment in a lab, theres what, maybe about four people observing it... in a baseball game there are people thousand people observing and some of them aren't looking at the ball at the time. So the sum of people not observing, people observing and people not doing either will definately not influence the ball, but people in a lab will. Hope that helps.
