Brainlet question, but so much of what we observe is represented as sine waves. What causes these oscillations to appear in this pattern? Is it simply an alternate representation of data, or does the answer lie in physics? Does it all come down to what it is that you're observing? I feel like this is such a simple concept but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around waves in general. If any anybody has book rrecommendations, I'd appreciate it.
