I tend to put fruit and/or chocolate in my ice cream combination things. Once in a while though, you want some soft/chewy candy in there instead of just crunchy stuff like Nerds, but it seems that any soft or chewy fruit-flavored candy quickly turns brittle-hard at low temperatures, combining poorly with ice cream.
Not even fat, I just like the journey of discovering which textures, flavours, and substances combine in pleasing ways, in all forms of baking and cooking. I'm still doing some studying/research before attempting to make my own candies at home.
