This is a shot in the dark.
I have little idea of how 1 direction hash functions work, but I'm curious if there's anyway to "twist" (implement) fractals into them.

I know that the ability to check the hash immediately is key


I think proof of work could be useful if somehow we could mine mathematics while bashing these hashes.
the only way I see that being possible is with fractals.
