We have to humanize white girls so we can be understanding of their mental illness.

You're partly wrong. We don't diagnose black people illnesses because we don't care either way (since they're worthless, while white women are precious).

It has nothing to do with illness not fitting a narrative, because the idea that black folks are irresponsible and irrational is largely accepted already among racists.

It's not about the racists it's about the narrative to convince the people in the middle.
The same way a white mass shooter is mentally ill but if an arab does it then he's a terrorist.
If you can convince people that everyone who doesn't something wrong is doing it on purpose then they'll be more overly zealous and angry at the one doing something wrong.
