and thats what math is at University, a filtering mechanism based on the background you arrive with at whatever skill level you have, hardly appropriately taught at the high school level, hardly appropriate for a No Frills University thats a basic entry point into the professional world with its social justice cues and claims, oh let me just show you the easiest equation in a model for lecture and then give you brainteaser equations for homework, or how about the Microeconomics professor whos shirt doesnt fit him and everytime he writes on the chalkboard I have to view this mans bare sides, once again very impressed by such a artful display of what ive aptly named the No Frills education experience, because I certainly can tell these people care, or at least care to give what appears to be a bare minimal in the performance of what I expect from quality instructors, or how about the fact and in all irony the best experience ive had so far is my Chinese Macroeconomics professor here in Canada, but hey, at least professors in my department arnt sexually assaulting people on the subway, and none of my classmates have been shot or stabbed this week
(BTW- YES our university has math help, but my math professor is a trickster and a genius, doing certain equations in lecture, then some Jedi Mind Tricks in our homework, and I tend to be that kind of person I cant let the unknown or a small mistake go in a perfectionist sense, as I stated, to me equations are a brainteaser or mystery that must be solved )
