I don't get university grading systems.
In the UK, to be considered for a job, an MSc, or PhD, you need to achieve a 2:1 grade. To get that, you need to average at least 60% in your exams, labs, tests, etc. But if you get only 60%, that means there is A TON of things you didn't understand properly. How are people with those grades getting jobs as chemists, geologists, engineers, etc, etc? It makes no sense, even good graduate programs only ask for a 2:1.
