Thought experiment: would it be possible to build a small thorium reactor to power a SHTF bunker?

Thorium itself seems to be much easier to access than other materials, considering you can buy monazite ore online to visit and abandoned mine and get yields that are up to 10% thorium with even trace amounts of uranium. The issue arises with scaling reactor designs and power outputs to something reasonable for a medium sized homestead. Do you think this would be possible?
