The lion has more fighting experience. I don't know if the polar bear would win but, the lion wouldn't survive for more than a couple days after. Where is this battle taking place? I don't think snow and ice is the element for lions but, a polar bear probably wouldn't mind a warmer environment.

I'd say that the advantage of cats over all other carnivores lies in their agility long ans strong canines sharp claws and very muscolar body

Bears come after big cats and their positive characteristics in fighting are massime size /stand up capabilities/ power in the upper part of the body which misses in dogs

disadvantages: they have less stamina if compared to a cat. Ridiculous canines if compaed to a cat

you gotta accept that felidae is the final predator. It's the apex predator.

If there is a class of aniamals that could take down felidae I'd say that it is the preistoric an extinct Hyenadonte (which is not related to hyenas)
