.pdf dumb solution, waste of bandwidth, not adjustable to screen size, your experience is subordinated to the master
.epub is wrapped garbage, demands modern browser to read = bloat
.mobi is fine, good experience if you're a cuck and don't mind Amazon spying on you
Kindle proprietary is a joke for obvious reasons, but honestly provides good experience.
HTML seems decent if done correctly, easy to mess up, little control by the user unless overriding css

I have been producing some books with .groff to be displayed on the TTY, since everything is rendered to my liking client side, is mobile ready with tmux, etc. But .groff is a fucking joke and can't even handle utf8 encoding by default.
