What do you think the “goal” of humanity should be, or will be as a species? I’m talking long-term in the sense of millions of years or until the end of the universe.

Is it just to keep reproducing? Should we try to maximize the number of people that can live just for the sake of doing so, because we can? What about making matrioshka brains to simulate as many human consciousnesses as we can, just because we decided that it’s good to give the gift of consciousness to as many beings as possible?

What other thoughts do you guys have on the topic? What is the end-game of humanity?
