None of that shit in Netherlands. I'm doing a meme 1 year masters with just 2 exams in the entire master degree. Problem arises is that just a Bsc and filling the entry requirements for a degree is deemed 'enough'. Here are some of the problems:
> lots of group projects > part time students allowed in degree> part time students are wagey slavies who can not think at any level of abstraction and just see the masters as 200-300 more wagey points per month > Lots of people who are plain retarded usually from other degrees who just lack a solid basis to build upon / overall lack of knowledge in the field > Everyone wants to be le ebin consultant, le ebin developer or work at ''major business'' > As usual no control mechanisms in group projects, huge process and drama if you want to kick someone for being retard or doing nothing at all > I personally know one of the huge retards, he can't do anything correctly so he just pays other students for all assignments and got remedial teaching to pass the two exams > The above retard will probably have his thesis ghost written > Every group project 2 people end up doing everything, the best / highest grade for group projects are where almost everyone is driven to get a good grade> Grades are therefore also mostly meaningless since it depends on if you got a good or shit group AND / OR how much effort you wanted to put into carrying the shitters> Most group projects that are delivered are very unprofessional / poor quality since shitters drive down morale of people actually wanting to make something good>>11372019Good thing about most European countries is that applying for a PhD is a job application and you get paid for doing a PhD if the uni takes you. The pay is pretty decent, slightly below median. Doesn't compare to profs still but its something.
