So bb-8. It’s a well known droid from the recent Star Wars movies. I took a good look at him and realized that design-wise, it can’t exist the way it’s portrayed. For a ball to roll around freely and still have its head on top, you’d either need rails or the head to be levitating. Even with its head attached to rails, it wouldn’t have full 360 degree movement like its portrayed. A robotic ball is certainly possible with today’s technology, but the design of Bb-8 being able to move with that design, it’s just not possible. Can anyone correct me if I’m wrong?
