If the universe is so large why isnt it collapsing in itself and creating a universe sized black hole?

The big bang created more force to expand than the force exerted by gravity to collapse. Also being "so large" doesn't make something collapse in on itself. More volume would make something *less* dense. Density is mass relative to volume.

The inertia from the Big Bang is still in the acceleration phase. Like shooting a bullet out of a rifle. The speed increases until it exists. Why the universe has this kind of billions-years-long inertia nobody knows. Maybe it boils down to “it was just programmed that way”.

Who's to say it didn't?
Many say there is probably a black hole at the very centre of the universe.
Interesting point, with the millenia of expansion, but with the pockets of warped space created by later black holes, will the ultimate big crunch occur anywhere near said central black hole?
