This is why men have more cases of abnormally high or low IQs while women cluster more towards the middling range, as well as why men tend to be more represented among both the violent criminals as well as successful leaders or scientific innovators. The selection pressure exerted on men results in more behavior and traits pushed to the extremes of their respective spectrums. Men are the experimental sex freed up from the burdens of bearing or taking care of children.
