No other country has the number of cases as China.
When you only have a handful of cases it's easy to quarantine and take care of them.
When suddenly there's thousands, the individual care each patient receives naturally decreases in quality and the death rate will rise with it.

That's what makes this virus so dangerous in my opinion. People focus on the current death rate, when they should focus on the fact that people can go two weeks without symptoms and then suddenly you have hundreds of sick people over night that you weren't prepared for and no resources to take care of them.

It's not the virus itself that is deadly. It's the lack of resources to deal with a large number of cases that is deadly.

Like I said, China is fucked, nobody else is having a problem. People keeping hyping up its contagion factor to mythical levels. We've had cases of it in several countries, and those cases were people who had recently traveled to or from Wuhan. It didn't spread to anyone else. If people think it's some nightmare biological WMD, the whole world would already be in chaos, but as I said, the only place seriously affected is China.
