Ok guys, I got into the College of Sci/Tech at the biggest university in my state, but I think I'm fucked. I feel like I'm the dumbest shit ever and that I will fail. My ability to learn is absolute shit. I did some STEM related classes in high school and was always behind everyone in terms of learning pace, creativity, and efficiency, especially those that I thought weren't that smart. All of these elements apply to me when doing ANYTHING at all, such as learning languages, playing video games, learning programming, so on. I've been a friendless khv loser for the majority of my life and have no hobbies, skills, talents, or achievements. My social skills are shit even though I've been working at retail for well over a year now, and people who were hired later than me were assigned special assignments/management things that were never given to me, so my social skills are shit too. I've only ONE THING that gives me leverage: I can work my ass off for anything that I deem necessary. I'm a extremely hard worker when I want to be, but in the field of STEM, working smart>hard.
So I have some time left in high school, therefore I have two (2) options. My first option is that I self-improve max, doing anything (using my hard work ethic) to mould myself into a respectable character. That means no porn, eating right, learning skills, reading about self improvement techniques, etc and etc.
My second option is to just do a trade or go into the military. To get a good stem job requires good networking connections, and that requires social skills.
I don't want to waste my time or money doing something that won't get me anything. Help me /sci/.
