Question everything. You live in a society that blindly does this. What else are they blind to? How smart are they really? How well founded are their claims in other domains? How legitimate are these organizations and their purported purposes? think American Cancer Society, APA, FDA, CDC, OSHA.
This doesn't happen in a vacuum.
