So I read this story that had the hero with fire powers superheat the air around him to make himself immune to electrical attacks. Is that scientifically accurate?

fire's not that conductive unless you add a lot of ions to it. This can be done by adding salt to the fire. Although, that will probably not be good to breath. Although if you superheat the air around yourself, you'll cook yourself alive.
