Hey /sci/ I recently moved out of the city and have been able to see the stars again. I was looking out of my window, to the East about 7pm UK time there, and one of the barely visible stars turned orange and got 3 or 4 times bigger for a couple of seconds then dimmed right down again, further I think than it did before.

Did I just see a massive outer explosion? I know stars can flicker blue and red and shit but this one just turned into a big orange dot then shrank away to nothing. I'm sure it was immediately to the left of Cassiopeia. What did I see bros?
