I started my master's in CS, but even with a 4.0 gpa and being the instructor of record for some summer classes i couldn't get any interesting projects from profs. They've all told me they're worried about working with someone who is only enrolled for two years, even though I've mentioned reenrolling for a phd.

I met a prof in another department and she offered me a really interesting project. I want to work with her, but I also want to make sure my work is considered valid in CS. Is this possible? What do I need to do so I don't fuck this up?
