Existence occurs outside of experience but it isnt meaningful. Actually it is meaningful but only as its own experience. As in, there is something it is like to be a table in front of me, if there were not, no table could exist in front of me. Howevere, what it is like to be a table in front of me is practically equivalent to what it is like to be a pebble at the bottom of the ocean that I will never interract with. So in a sense there is a consciousness to everything that allows its existence, but for all reasonable considerations only self aware beings possess meaningful consciousness.
