Why do many science communicators overreach by pretending that the wonder of reality is greater than fiction universally? That the pleasure and spirituality of knowing always trumps mystery? Don't get me wrong, I think truth should always be promoted, but why act like the milky way can compete with human art? Why act like a smith walking the dao of swords isn't inherently more appealing to human sensibilities than the knowledge that a blade is just codified alloy and the angle and fineness of grind?
