>>11350068The absolute dumbest US senator is smart enough (or has seen enough science fiction flicks) to know bio-weapons are a NO-NO-NOOOOOOPE for the simple reason after release it can't be controlled, our knowledge of the natural world and especially viruses and bacteria is so limited no technological or scientific feat could predict mutation and horizontal gene transfer. This is one of the many reasons bio-weapons are banned into oblivion, since it could end us as a species.
>How do we know the American media isn't pre-emptively accusing China of crThese rumors were already spread by Chinese state media before the world even took notice of this. More to the point, the CCP knows it won't last 10 more years deceiving 1.4B people, and the US has no reason or motive to do anything like this, while the CCP has literally every motive (and is devoid of reason) and apparently their virologists weren't able to talk some sense into them. The CCP is on life-support and that's precisely the amount of "desperate and fucking stupid beyond belief" they'd have to be to resort to shit like this.
Very short-term, this is a surefire method of getting HK, elections, democracy etc. off the minds and newsfeeds of Chinese citizens, and to literally physically empty the streets and close down entire cities. I'm normally the most skeptical person in the room when it comes to conspiracy theories, but this is just daylight robbery and everyone has to pretend to be blind and deaf because China is a hostage situation. Not sure to what degree of certainty it can be proven just from the genome but we'll see, I'm no virologist but I doubt hastily slapping together a little pandemic wouldn't leave obvious traces or markers. As for the accidental release theory, that's simply not how Pathogen L4 labs work and it wouldn't have "accidentally" been released in a wet market either.
