Calling all theoretical physicists

Quote; "Quantum computing will be the first technology that allows useful tasks to be performed in collaboration between parallel universes" - David Deutsch.

This quote was reiterated by Dr Geordie Rose, PhD in theoretical physics and the founder of D-Wave who was being paid hundreds of millions of dollars to produce quantum computers for the likes of Lockheed Martin, Google, Facebook, NASA, MIT and several unnamed "government agencies"... D-Wave has collaborated with UBC, IPHT Jena, Université de Sherbrooke, University of Toronto, University of Twente, Chalmers University of Technology, University of Erlangen, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Universities Space Research Association and still maintains ties with the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

In 2013 D-wave, NASA, Google and USRA launched Quantum Artificial Intelligence Lab based on the D-Wave-Two 512-qubit quantum computer.

So.. Is he right? Is he the greatest con artist of all time? Is quantum AI here? Are we seriously using the atoms from another universe to make calculations on these quantum computers and is this safe?
