I have crippling encephalitis which causes my IQ to drop to double digits, from a maximum of 140 (143 verbal reasoning).

But I am completely immune to headaches which causes doctors to think I'm just stupid. I must surrender all evidence of my encephalitis to be able to make decisions regarding my care, and vice versa.

How can I inflame the fuck out of my brain so they have no choice but to give me MRI confirmation?

An MRI, and odds are the medical system, can't and won't do shit. Odds are you don't have "encephalitis" outright either, more like an inflammatory possibly immune encephalopathy.

24. Either way, I'd have inflammation in the brain, MRI can confirm. I have an arachnoid cyst. MRI has confirmed this. But doctors like to say it's asymptomatic, and I'm just dumb.

What triggers it is daylight (classic encephalitis) and what relieves it is nighttime (classic encephalitis). Aleve NSAID works to restore 80% of my cognition. Sudafed PE restores the rest.

It makes me dumb when it is in place. It is virtually impossible to look at me at my best and at my worst and say that I'm equally intelligent.

It has ruined my life and my cognition since I was 18 or 19. I have only recently realized the Sudafed PE benefit. And Aleve even more recently - I never had a reason to try it, because I am COMPLETELY immune to headaches.

The same type of thing happened to me, but it began ~13. In my case though it feels like bit by bit, you cease to truly return to baseline, whatever the underlying pathology is, it;s not entirely reversible and has a cost. Which I recognized early on. It is part of a silent, largely invisible, constant torture.

Anyway, you've got my suggestions above. May or may not be relevant. I remember when my mind would clear and open at night. No longer. I remember the heavy dullness of noon-2pm as well. Rarely bother to think about it in that way anymore.

No, I don't drink soda or anything carbonated, I don't recall that it did anything unique. My diet is about as clean as it gets. The whole pattern of it is fairly complicated, and has changed over time.
