>>11346786Most of these threatened jobs you're talking about already have been outsourced to Asia, South America and Eastern Europe a long time ago. If anything, more automation will bring industries back to the West together with its revenue and many Automation related jobs just like Computers have created an entire new field of jobs, while also reducing our dependency on imports and enabling production cheaper than anyone. We will see a huge increase in small and medium sized business that will use robots to create personalized products at the price of mass produced ones.
Also even when every and all production in the world was automated, there would still work available in the service sector for those that are incapable of finding work in the industry, and before you say "but mcdonalds fires people for ordering machines", when i talk about service i actually mean service, because people who got mcdonalds do it for the cheap food and not for the "service", while for example people who go to a bar will prefer to do smalltalk to a barkeeper rather than ordering at a machine, as long as people prefer human to human interaction in certain locales they'll go there, which is always going to be the case considering humans are social animals. You just have to come up with more interesting human related services like the Japanese did.
Basically, all you need to do is one or more of these:
1. Get a job in an industry that's not threatened by Automation and A.I., like for example the service sector that specializes on human to human interaction.
2. Find a job in the automation industry and ride the wave
3. Invest in safe stocks, especially into companies in the Automation industry or those that profit from it
4. Start your own business making use of Automation and A.I. yourself.
Last but not least, making people dependend on the government is never a good idea because the political parties will exploit that and fuck shit up 100%, it should be avoided at all costs.
