I was playing around with magnesium and vinegar, to see if I could make hydrogen balloons with it, and I decided to try putting dish soap in it to get flammable bubbles but the reaction went diffrent than I expected. Instead of big soap bubbles like I expected, the reaction slowed down and started to smell like a sweet beer. I also noticed the magnesium had turned black this time instead of slowly eating away and just making it shiney. Anyone have any idea what happened or any similar unexpected results?
