Also, there's one, simple, underlying fact to be acknowledged about human psychosexual interactions. And that's that the man penetrates, the woman is penetrated. In nearly all things. Man as blade, woman as sheathe. Man as current, woman as ground. Man as beast, woman as nature.
If a man is being penetrated he is therefore not a man and must instead be a woman. This goes all the way back to to the idea that women are just incomplete men, hence why even now if a man were to be castrated or lose his phallus, many people would say "he's been made a woman". They can't conceive of the neuter state. For a woman being penetrated can also become a matter of submission and acceptance, it makes her weak. Lesbians may or may not penetrate, but they do clearly separate into masculine and feminine roles. Regardless, it could be avoidance of penetration.
I also expect absent father figures, economics, childhood conditioning, and sexual abuse plays a role. Perhaps it's the female tendency towards nature and goddess worship, twisted into a form of self worship?
