Hey /sci/. So we know that there has been an outbreak of the Coronavirus. I would like to know whether the study is credible enough to identify populations and confirm if the virus only targets East Asians with higher ACE2 cells.
Because this study only uses a limited population (one Asian male) as an outlier. We do not know whether it reflects upon the homogenous population of the Chinese. However, the evidence of this research, supports the hypothesis that the AC2 cells are prevalent in East Asian populations (most notably the Japanese, Koreans, and the Chinese).
Just posting here if /sci/ understands the science behind this research.
