I felt the same way before I tried taking Coffee mixed with green tea, the added focus made me have a easier time understanding math, and because of it actually became enjoyable managing to find solutions to the problems and delude myself into feeling big brained

that doesn't help me because move_and_collide gets a vector I give from the input, which seems to be a global vector I made from the gamepad.

I need to be able to rotate this vector in the direction the player is facing.

So I guess I need to use something like the cross product to get the rotation angle with the player and add it to the vector I'm giving to the move_and_collide function.

thanks for your input OP. now tell us how much time have you actually spent learning the math and how many teachers have you tried that you're confident enough to make statements about what mathematicians should or shouldn't do
