Graduating with a degree in EE in April. I'm too stupid for this degree but I'm too tired to start over in something else. Got a whole bunch of Fs and C's on my transcript and I think my gpa is 2.9 or 3.0.
Don't do EE if you just want to end up in software. That's where most of the jobs are anyway. It's too much work and you'll lose all your hair. Btw don't expect to get a design job with an undergrad degree. If you want a hardware design job here's the complete path:
>Do EE
>Do research with a prof in your 1st/2nd year
>Do internships over the summer
>Get good grades in your classes (if you're not getting A- minimum you better watch out)
>Take RF courses, analog design courses, microwave courses, telecommunications courses (aka all the hard courses taught by shitty profs)
>Do your masters and PhD
>Present your research at conferences
At this point you can get the top design jobs.
