What are /sci/'s thoughts on Dialectics and namely Dialectical Materialism in science? Do physicists and other scientists on here have a different philosophy of change or are dialectics just too convincing?

I can't conceive of how the public is supposed to get close to the correct information otherwise. I speak of the epistemic dialectic. "Dialectical Materialism" is just a sad attempt to make materialism seem more foundational than it is. "Dialectic" is not to even be in the same sentence as any one school of thought like materialism.

In what way is dialectical materialism a sad attempt to make materialism seem more foundational than it is? It makes a clear case and could not be any further from that sort of sophistry. At least explain yourself if you're going to make a ridiculous claim.
