in this thread we admit that string theory is overwhelmingly compelling in that it predicts gravity consistent with GR while at the same time providing a framework that reproduces the standard model as well as incorporating all grand unified theories. oh also it has opened great connections to lots of leading-edge mathematicds oh also it has no free parameters. oh also, it is renormalizable to all orders. oh also it predicts all properties of black holes accurately. oh also it predicts all properties of dark energy accurately.
