What is a Carbon-oxygen white dwarf like - how does it differ from a carbon-diamond or crystalline ?-oxygen? Please don't give the "muh electron degeneracy pressure" or "muh pauli exclusions principle" - I know that. I want to know how electron-degenerate matter qualitatively differs from metals or crystals!
