>>11333416You're completely incorrect, stats is definitely not math and that makes no sense. Stats is a tool. It is founded on mathematics (the domain of probability) but the central limit theorem and markov chains are not parts of stats, they are part of probability theory. Stats just puts them to work.
A statistician need not know at all how to write a proof, and may never understand why any of these tests they're using are mathematically founded. They are not a mathematician.
