Kepler-22b is roughly 600 lightyears away. Does this mean you will be dead before arrival, assuming you live no longer than 100 years? Or have I missed something?

If you were to build a ship that could travel at the speed of light (which is, itself, far beyond our current abilities), it would take 600 years to get there. If you age normally, and die at or before 100 years old, you wouldn't even make it 1/6th of the way there.

Unless someone figures out faster than light travel, or wormholes, or teleportation, or whatever. Then who knows.

you could live through the journey if the vessel travelled at a speed very close to the speed of light. the time dilation would eventually reduce your journey to a handful of years, the majority of which would be spent at non-cruising speed accelerating and decelerating at the beginning and end of the journey.

unfortunately kepler 22b is not guaranteed to be human life sustaining, and you'd need a whole host of things to establish a viable self sustaining ecology even if it has an identical configuration to earth in terms of supporting life, which is exceedingly unlikely.

If you travel at relativistic speeds, you could reach it before you die because of time dilation. To an outside observer, you would appear to take, at minimum, 600 years to reach it, but the perceived time on your end could be much shorter.

Not true; you completely ignored time dilation.
If you travelled at light speed, you would reach your destination INSTANTLY from your perspective. You wouldn’t age a wink.
