>>11332767I don't know where you got those numbers from, but "marijuana poisoning" isn't a thing. It IS possible to overdose on Marijuana and it has been occurring with increased frequency lately. Symptoms including vomiting, uncontrollable screaming, massive panic/anxiety, and hyper-ventilation, but i've never heard of it being a fatal condition. I suppose if you developed those symptoms and stayed at home instead of seeking treatment it could possibly kill you.
At any rate, the main cause is the rise in THC levels in marijuana over the last 70 years or so. The average marijuana strain contains something like 60% more THC today than what was available in the 50's and 60s; what you smoke in a joint today is like smoking 2-3 joints at Woodstock. Weed growers have consistently bred their strains for greater and greater THC yield, turning a mostly benign chemical into something quite dangerous. There is also the common story of retarded college kids trying to hit a dab rig like a bong (taking multiple hits off of something you only need one hit from to get super high), and it's not really that surprising that people keep getting sick from elevated THC levels.
If you want to smoke at least try and search out a strain that is high in CBD and low in THC as possible.
