I always hear of the smart guys that choose an area of STEM because they knew themselves particularly attracted to it or because they were already doing studies or work of their own on that stuff before they choose a degree.

I want to hear about the smart guys that were not particularly inclinated to anything STEM related but still choose to do it, what did you do, what did you choose, how did that worked out? are you happy?
