I live in NJ, and my mother's job is a very interactive one and she sees lots of people, should I be worried? my school also has lots of Chinese transfers

I'm 18 y/o and generally healthy

as far as i know, the new virus mostly kills old people, not young people. in that way it would be similar to the Flu. i don't think young people with healthy immune systems would have much to worry about aside from getting flu-like or cold-like symptoms.

also, when i lived in NJ all the chinese students wore masks to class even when it seemed that there was nothing to worry about, so hopefully that continues and they wear masks already in efforts to isolate their infections from the rutgers/stevens/kean/princeton/etc students

It's a flu-type virus and it isn't very dangerous to people with decent immune systems.
You can probably medicate against it anyway, not necessarily as a way to kill it but to suppress it.
