>>11329913Regardless of the "bubble of perception" you refer to of 14 billion years in terms of how far back the origin of any existence of anything can be determined, you seem to forget that literally all of that data is determined by Newtonian physics, which projects a particle-based universe that exists in a narrow band of energy among the many energy-states throughout the multiverse.
If Newton could freeze every particle in the universe and determine both its position and velocity, he'd be able to eventually determine every physical result of every universal interaction until the end of time.
Is that a good idea? Who fucking cares; it sounds awesome. Like being able to tell the future and see where everything is going and how it all turns out.
Until it doesn't turn out the way you want it to.
Then you come crying to a philosopher, whether it's a priest or a shaman or some other guru. Not a lot of difference other than that you probably imagine that they have suffered/are suffering to a larger degree than you, which makes them morally superior, because one who is suffering or has suffered to greater degrees than you are willing to participate is thus deserving of greater joys than you are capable of experiencing, because obviously you should be allowed to have joys at least as great as the extent of your suffering.
