Whats the best route for a child's education if I lack the time to personally tutor but have plenty of money.

Depends, what exactly do you want for the kid? Maximum career potential in business? Maximum scientific achievement? Maximum freedom to pursue interests? Maximum experience in dealing drugs?

All four will you to different types of schools.

Assuming your child is gifted: "Unschooling".

Have a vast library of books of different subjects around the house. If you don't have a stay at home wife then hire a governess to simply watch over the children and provide organic meals while they're younger, and to take them on outings to nature/museums. Once they hit about age 10 you hire private tutors for mathematics, physics, english or whatever interest they developed or have a natural predilection for.

Assuming your child is dull: Send them to private school until middle school then yank them out and get them involved in vocational education.
