It requires very minimal brain capacity. You have no time to think on something like the JEE; if you haven't memorized the trick for the problem, you're fucked because 3 minutes is designed to be half the time it would take to think it through and do it normally.
This is why Indians/Chinese spend years studying 10 hours a day for these things; you can't ace them unless every problem that could be on the test is drilled so much it's totally automatic.

Well you have to work hard to achieve something, if you are very intelligent, you don't, a few of people I know who have got 75%+ in the jee(around 200 rank out of a million), and have only studied around 3-5 hours a day. And come on, IITs aren't dumb either, they try their best to not give similar problems every year.

memorizing a problem isn't the same as encountering and solving a new problem. If a C is the best you get for 5 hours a day studying for a brainlet filter, maybe should apply to scam call center.

I remember one of my professors personally made his exams on problems that were not covered in the homework, they were really good problems because you actually had to think, no one got higher than a 50 in his class, great lad.

this is autism. just because you shorten the length of time on is allowed to solve a problem, that does not make your exam any more well thought out. if anything, time limits are just a poor man's cope for making difficult well though out tests

Look at these burgers pretending like American exams aren't the same shit, SAT/ACTs are literally just memorization and drilling the same thing over and over. Literally every exam has some level of repetition required

The SAT has minimal material to memorize. The poo exam decreases what little fluid IQ pajeets already have. The more they memorize testbanks the more crystallized their brain becomes and it's not even useful information that fills their shit brains.
