No. Biochem studies, mostly, protein structure, interactions, folding, etc. Molecular biology is a broader umbrella term that involves everything from basic protein biology to genetics to cell biology.

Because all the molecular biology majors I've spoken with only choose it over biochem because "There's less math."

Eh, it really depends on the program offered at your school. My University has a very heavy focus on computational/structural biology in their MolBio program and it's pretty standard for MolBio students to do the basic Calc-ODE-Linear Algebra-Probability progression. It's sort of like the wide variety in finance/economics majors. Some economics/finance programs are just glorified psychology majors, some are so heavily focused in Stochastic Calc and PDE's it would make your head spin.
