Whatever it is is likely sensorily irrelevant to me, so it's not urgent to figure out. Scott Adams wrote on his blog about how 'objective reality' could be much different than how we perceive it, because we didn't need to evolve to see things as they actually are, just well enough to survive. there could be 12th dimension eldritch abominations walking around towering over us watching us fap and we can not perceive them in any way, because sensing them had no evolutionary impetus

The point is that we've had like 100,000,000,000 generations of evolution and if there's a way to sense something, life has evolved to do it, and nothing has evolved to sense any of that crap so as far as we are concerned it doesn't exist. It does not ever interact with us. It is meaningless, if it exists. Plus it could be something nice like a loving God who wants you to have a good time and chooses not to intrude on your privacy
